[AMD] Polaris based RX 480 and "High performance solutions" announced at computex - Page 8

What have you done AMD? Have you no mercy?

You've obliterated the GPU market and enabled VR Gaming at a low price point.

Don't tell them about the upcoming consoles coming out this year and next year. tongue.gif

The upcoming Ps4 Neo may very well have something close to this gpu in it, and the new Xbox next year will probably have something close to Vega.

That would be amazing, but it sounds a little too good to be true. Let's see how it overclocks.

Fair enough. Pricewise the card seems to bring a prev $320US part down to $200 , but maybe it will be even better then that. need some benchmarks and overclocking results etc. as for now (and as a 390 owner) not too excited

well my expectations are above 380x at a lower tdp so anything beyond that is just icing lol

So easy to fall for the hype, but I won't get excited until I see some reviews pop up.
lol that press release in the first post ONLY talks about VR VR VR .. literally just VR

what about outside VR ? is it 970 level ? 980 level ? what ? 980 level outside VR would be great, but 970 - just ok

It won't be that easy, though. We have the 1060 and 1060Ti that are rumored to compete with the recent Polaris line up, and the 970/980's are going to drop in price like no other and there's probably a lot of them still to be sold. I don't see builders buying the card tbh, but I do see the regular Joe getting himself a prebuilt PC with an RX 480.
