Vega 10 will come in and handily beat the 1080 and 1070 in November regardless for 400$ and 600$ respectively, then GP102 1080Ti and Titan 3 will be released taking the crown back to nvidia

There is just no way 480 from AIB's will compete against 1070

If the leaked 3dmark 11 score of 18k is true, alongside the stock clock of 1266 while assuming 75% scaling for overclocking, it would take roughly a core clock of 1530 to match the Titan X/1070 3dmark 11 score. That's likely more than the best case scenario in terms of overclocking potential on polaris. So it is possible, like I and many people have said before, it all depends on how well these cards can OC based on node changes and architectural changes.

*If we assume a similar OC potential to fiji, ~15% with added voltage, 75% scaling, we'd hit a clock speed of ~ 1450mhz and a rough 3Dmark 11 GPU score of 20300.

Again, it doesn't have to beat the 1070 to compete with it, especially at a $100 lower price point. But we are all just speculating and won't know anything more until the 29th...

If you assume RX480=GTX980, but better efficiency, you are essentially trading the Nano for a RX480 8gig version (assuming $300). The Nano will be a little faster, but you have the new architecture.

Thread Starter
While I'm hopeful there is a rx480x/485 I'm not holding my breath. Lisa Su's statement was "Radeon RX GPUs. 100-300 dollar price points.(shenanigans about VR). Premium gaming experiences. On shelf June 29th" this can be seen at 1:12:25 in the full webcast video (in post 6).

This was said during the summary portion of the event and could have been a slip of the tongue. Raja was talking about the RX line targeting this share of the market earlier and that could be what she meant to reference. I'm not taking the $300 as any more gospel than I am about the entire line being on shelf June 29th.

tek syndicate Liars!

It was just a few months ago people on the forums where calling them out (Gamers Nexus) for how they tested the FX 9590 wrong and how they where biased towards intel CPUs
Also the "unfavorable" they where towards AMD Fiji

God you people should make a review channel on YouTube yourself and see how others will view your "objective opinion."

I would say Jayz2cents is a nvidia fanboy. The way he gushes when he talks about nvidia software and such. AMD has pretty much all the same software that nvidia has its just their power marketing and naming of it that makes it fall short.

If you watch AdoredTV he talks about this, its called ndivia mindshare. How nvdias marketing so so good, even during the fermi days, when AMD had better software, and hardware nvidia still managed to hold 50% of the market. AMD only took like 6-7% more.

Linus, even though he has a fairly impressive channel, manages to be unprofessional like awesomesauce network. Which is why I wont sub them

Tek syndicate eh I just cant stand them. That one guys that always hides his face with his mic can make some interesting videos but the others, eh.
