Here are the clock speeds of the Radeon RX 480. Like the GeForce "Pascal," AMD "Polaris" GPUs love to run at speeds way above the 1 GHz mark. The Radeon RX 480 features an engine clock of 1266 MHz, while its memory is clocked at 2000 MHz (actual), or 8 GHz (GDDR5-effective).

I think all the press at Macau were sent home with a 480.

I think AMD has a boost implementation that works like nvidias now. ph34r-smiley.gif

TPU being quite liberal with their definition of "way above" in regards to Polaris.

So now we know most of basic specs. Clocks 1.266 Ghz core, 2 Ghz 4/8 gddr5, 256bit mem bus, 2304 4th generation GCN cores in 36 CU.

They got to use different CU units for the 4GB and 8GB boards. 32CU@1266 gives just above 5.18 TFLOPS as hinted from the slides, but could that get away with only 4GB GDDR5 for 199$?
And 36CU@1266Mhz = 5.83 TFLOPS

Hopefully there will be room for overclocking up to 1400 biggrin.gif or even more on water thumb.gif

AMD specifically gave the specs 36 CU which lines up with all the benchmark leaks. The only thing they mentioned about TFlops is that it would be over 5.

I hope so, it seems like theyre going to have a few cards off polaris, one article even stated an rx 490. If any of them are even or faster then my r9 390 ill switch over just for the efficiency. The pcb is fury nano sized which is awesome, hopefully ek makes more then one water block for it. They only have one for reference pcb and msi for my r9 390 everyone else is out of luck.
