[TPU] AMD Radeon RX 480 Clock Speeds Revealed, Clocked Above 1.2 GHz - Page 2

Ok so we know the price, which is nice, but still no performance numbers. Are we expecting more info today or are we waiting for reviews at the end of the month?

well 1266 might be the es card. Tbh we can still see higher clocks at release.

oh but we know the performance. It is very similar to GTX 980. Half of gtx 180 for 33% of its price. And that is on prerelease drivers .)

My guess on the 300$ hint is there is indeed a 40CU Polaris 10 but AMD are holding that up tight for after 1070 hits the market so they can undercut the price after it's settled and dig it's grave deep. That reveal should happen on the E3 Expo just 4 days after 1070 has been shipped with it's abysmal price.

I still think that if this was true they should have said more before 10 June but that's just my point of vew. Who knows what AMD's PR thinks.

That's just speculation. I wouldn't believe a word officially of performance from AMD/Nvidia. Always use absolute best case scenario, not real world numbers.

"we" do not know RX480 performance.

If there is a 40CU coming thats what im waiting for and hopefully its performance destroys my r9 390 then i would absolutely love having that. People seem to be so stuck on the idea thats theres only one polaris card. But i do believe theres going to be at least 3-4 variants between 10 and 11.

There might not be 480x. 300$ could as well be an AIB 480 8GB card...
I bet there is a huge overclock roof with AIB 8+6 pin boards. I heard the card draws about 90 watts from the earlier tech convention that may give us more overclock room than the 1070.

Actually after having a look around and the specs, it looks like it will be between a 380x (essentially a Higher clocked HD7970) and a Fury nano for $199 (4GN) AND $230 (8GB)

Slightly inferior specs to a 390x, but with assumed architecture improvements and higher clock speeds, it should sit between 390x and fury nano/x

EDIT: I take it back. This pic links to these leaked benches taken previously.

Tiny bit slower than fury x for circa $240, probably €299 in europe.
