If your claim is that scaling of frame rate is linear from explicit multi-adapter, demonstrate it. Show you can equate the 1.83x number to frame rate in a linear fashion.

Stock 290 1440p extreme. FPS is higher than 1080p Crazy if you'll notice. The former is more GPU bound than this one.

RX 480 gets 40 FPS. It's 2.7% faster, so I guess I was slightly wrong in my original post.

I assume you'll ask for proof that I'm using stock settings and not a 290X or something next, but I am and if you ask, I'll provide proof. I'm am definitely in their camp who wanted the 480 to be near the 980 Ti, and maybe it still will be.

Unfortunately, the results of this test at least do not lie.

I am not saying your tests lie, I am saying your test comparison is flawed. The 1440p Extreme benchmark you are comparing it to is running on a completely different CPU.

In addition the 1440p Extreme 480 benchmark single GPU is taken on May 25th. There's a dual 480 1440p Extreme benchmark the same day. The very next day the dual 480 benchmark is taken again and gains 7 fps.

If you split that 7 fps gain in two, that's 3.5 fps between the both of them putting the 480 at 43.5 fps, if you calculate in the 1.83x figure AMD recently gave for dual GPU, that's 8.1 between the two which is 44 fps for one GPU. Is that exactly right? Probably not, but it's a good sign it's a bad comparison to your benchmark.

My CPU is slower and gets less CPU FPS than the 5930K that AMD used. My FPS has nowhere to go but up if I had the same system, although it wouldn't change because the test shows that I'm effectively 100% GPU bound.

What a slap in the face for any one that owns a AMD processor.

AMD processors are so bad that, AMD themselves won't use them to benchmark their new products. What does that tell you????

AMD is intel fanboi. I wonder why?

If ran AMD I'd fire someone for that. There's no excuse for using your competitor products to benchmark. Talk about embarrassing. mad.gif

There is AMD CPU and AMD/ATI GPU. They are not as connected as you think.

Besides the fact AMD has repeatedly acknowledged they are not HEDT right now. They said so with the project quantum before RTG was formed.

It's just one of those things, eh? Hopefully Zen will recreate some life into the CPU division and their HEDT line.

They've been using Intel processors for a couple years or so in their multi-GPU demos. It's no secret to anyone that their processors would bottleneck GPU-heavy systems.

People comparing a $199 card (rx480) to a $370 card (gtx1070)

Omg I cant believe it's slower while costing 170 less omg AMD suck

Can you guys even use your brain?
