The chipsets are the same and with the lower power requirements of BE, oc sockerts and power phases are not as important. I've had good luck with my gigabyte and asus boards. I think the new Taichi board looks cool. But its your preference. Good luck!
I'm not familiar with the Taichi board. Guess it's time to look it up! Thanks.

The X99 godlike gaming is an excellent board with great features and software.
I agree with you. I've never seen a motherboard only have positive reviews. Yes, features are nice and so is the built in lights.

Very tight voltage regulation (~.002) and had no issue getting 4.5Ghz on a 5820k w/ air cooling.
Get the board with the features you need / want. Buying something like the Rampage is sort of a waste unless you want to run ln2 or just really like the ROG themes.
Thanks for the advice. The Rampage is on my list because it is recommended as a top gaming enthusiast board. Every 3-5 years, I do a complete computer rebuild while upgrading different components in between. This year it's time for the rebuild.
I typical buy the "top of the line" at the time durning the rebuild. I'm really not too much worried about the color of the board as I am going to paint it. Based on the esthetics of the boards, I'm really leaning towards the X99 godlike.

Thanks! I'm glad the board it working out for you.
