Sager and Clevo should be decently priced in America.
I can go on XoticPC and get a Sager laptop with a 980M in it for around $1,650, and of all the laptops they have with a 980M in it, that's the cheapest price (in some cases by far). Personally I don't care for the look of them too much, and I'm not too fond of their heat output.

It's not like I was playing BF4 on the Razer in my office or on vacation.
In fact, my current rig cost about the same and that is with a $1500 dollar monitor and a 980ti
Funny I read this when I was thinking of saving for the New Razer Blade so I can get the Razer Core and have a monster laptop on the go and a badass gaming PC setup when I'm at home, but honestly it seems like it'd be cheaper to buy a used MBPr and build a gaming PC than to go that route. $500, even with them making it $400 if you buy a Razer laptop, is still pretty steep. At that price I'm not too far from a 1070, and more than halfway to a 1080.
