[PCPER] ROG ASUS RAMPAGE V Edition 10 - Page 16

Anyone know what the max speed of DDR4 that can be run with this board and the 6950x. Can it run the 4266?

Oh and what is the effect of the higher timings on the 4000+ speed DDR4?

To be honest if you don’t have a need for the above and you intended to use a Haswell processor then not much point in upgrading it yet.

Can't you use the new Broadwell-E cpu with the original Rampage V Extreme board?

Heh I agree.

Gotta love the Rampage Extreme series (I still <3 my RIVBE)

Wish I could ensure all my future builds were on a Rampage Extreme board, but like others have said, not easy to keep doing builds like that every time! tongue.gif

I have on here for review, let me see what I can do. I can tell that it has LEDs in the IO shield, in the middle block, and in the PCH heatsink, audio area, and on the right side of the motherboard.

Oooh really? The i/o shield? Can't wait for mine to come tomorrow....(well technically today since its after midnight)....gah!

I'm interested in seeing what that beautiful matte black built-in i/o shield looks like with white LED in my white/black Caselabs SMA8 build. Might finally break out my white coolant to replace the distilled water i've been using due to laziness lol.
