Slide a business card underneath the plastic while you pull the tab upwards. Mine came out easily this way.

Yeah I didn't know but I do now, thanks. I usually use EVGA boards which for instance my last classified x99 board came in an anti static bag that had a yellow seal on it that you had to break to get to the board. ASUS is my first time outside of EVGA motherboards with their rampage v extreme and now this, I got sick of the BIOS, so I don't really know how everyone else packages their stuff. Now I think I should have dealt with the BIOS... tongue.gif

I guess I find it odd and difficult not having any sort of seals for retailers and consumers. Given the requirements of RMAs/return policies and restocking policies. then there's my case where I don't know what I have but how could they tell they sent me an open box or a new one, or if I took it out used it and repackaged it when I send it back and ask for a full refund and not have to pay restocking fees. Maybe I'm just being over reactive after being screwed hard by asus tech support.

My RAMPAGE V EDITION 10
So after seeing the price for this motherboard in Canadian dollars (dollars isn't even applicable) I have to laugh at what they are charging. This is nothing more than a flashy, gimmicky, rebranded Rampage V Extreme. Even in USD pricing it's ridiculously overpriced and is outside of what the market accepted range is. It's even more expensive than what the Gigabyte X58A-UD9 retailed for when it was released in 2010. The reality is that this motherboard will depreciate in value and what LGA3647 comes out it won't be flagship anymore. I am severely disappointed in ASUS. To celebrate their 10th anniversary they launched a cash cow motherboard rebrand. If that's what the ROG line has come to I will look for other brands and manufacturers to do business with even if ASUS has Canadian RMA.
