Recently got an R9 390

I recently built a new pc with the XFX R9 390 and a i7 6700k. What kind of preformance can I expect from the 390? What kind of ambient temperatures should I be looking for?

Niceee 1080p performance or decent 1440p

My 290x(similar to 390) ran under 85c even at 48c ambient, so long as you got a model with a good cooler(and set the card to "uber" bios) you are set.

Man that is awesome. Just something about the 8gb of VRam really made me lean towards it. And thats not bad cooling for an AMD card at all. Mine is the "Double Dissipation" It seems to get pretty good reviews on the cooling potential.

wait, 48 ambient. my vrms do not even see 40 at load. must be something wrong with your gauge. that's over 100F. You need an AC. Bad.

op, do you mind running this bench at stock? . . .

Nothing wrong with my gauge(s) just standard inside temp on a summer day here in Australia.
(with a bare tin roof, no insulation and no AC, when its 40c outside its closer to 50c inside lol)

The idle for my gpu was 29 to 30 degrees. And when I ran firemark it maxed at 71 degrees. And the fans on the gpu didn't go past 46 percent.

I did. I just wanted to get a second opinion.

I don't think that question was directed at you. Nice temps for an air cooled.
