MSI GTX 980 Ti ...

Thread Starter
Hi ! so i bought an MSI GTX 980 Ti,and i've been playing overwatch on max settings 144 hz 1080p. The thing i noticed is that, idle temp is about 43-45 °C,but when its usage is 100%,it goes up to 81°C. Is that normal ? or should i be worried? at 81°C my fans are running 75%.

It's normal. The Twin Frozr is best at GTX970/980, not the Ti.

81 is rather on the warm side, mine is running 75 degrees with fan between 69-71%. Must be rither the room temp or your case can't deal with the 300W it dumps inside. But don't worry, 81 degrees is still fine, but I'd say I would not want it to get any hotter personally. This is the trade off with Twin Frozr 5, a few degrees more for a lot better acoustic poerformance than e.g. G1. I used to have 980 G1 and compared to 980Ti 6G it was certainly more audible. Twin Frozr is nearly silent below 70%.

6C difference is well within the difference a case with good airflow, and a case with bad airflow. His is probably the later. 81C is fine though.
