So most stuff I order is under 50EUR, meaning I can get fans and smaller PC parts, but not mainstream hardware.

What about my last idea for when you come here?

That seems fine, when I come to the US I'll probably be open with a lot more options than here, but still I'm looking at what to buy, and that month that I'll stay here and finish some college stuff is the time RX480 will come, so seems best to wait for a month.

I really wonder if the 480 will bring the performance of 980.

Maybe? It'll definitely be a welcome sight to get some competition again.

EDIT: If you need a PSU when you get that new card, I'll be here waiting with my EVGA 1000P Short that I've been trying to sell since Feb for a good price. tongue.gif

I usually mark items as "gift" with a low value when I send international, never had an issue. Could also mark it as a dead 970 with a low value.

Wait for the AMD 480 or wait a drop in price for the 980Ti, that should happen 4 weeks from now.

I come from a 970 SLI and I've sold one card first and a few days ago the other to get a gtx 1080. Anyway when I was with only one 970 I could not max out any game in 1080P for constant 60hz 60 fps gaming, in my old Dell monitor.

Games I've tried include Batman Arkham Knight, Witcher 3, Dragón Age Inquisition, Fallot 4, Metal Gear Phantom Pain, Assasins Creed Unity, Assasins Creed Syndicate, Far Cry 4, Far Cry Primal, Shadow of Mordor, Rise of the Tomb Raider, Dying Light, The Division, Ryse and Quantum Break.

Those games gave me noticeable fps drops and the gameplay was not smooth at all combined with VRAM issues in some of them.

You cannot get constant 60 fps with high settings in any of those games, trust me, whoever tell you otherwise is just plain lying. Only way to play those games is by dropping the settings to Medium or some combination of Medium and High, no AA in many of them, forget about Ultra settings and forget about gameworks.

However, games that you should be able to max out are League of Legends, Dota 2, Diablo 3, CS Go, among other online non demanding games.

A 980TI used or a AMD 480, even a 1070 is the best to aim for, yeah they are over kill for 1080p now but what about some time from now and new games, beside all the DX12, Vulkan and Async compute **** going on right now.

The 970 is dead and it holds no future and If I were you I would wait and get something better.

Hope it helps!

That too. I always ask, but not require, people to use paypal gift transactions since it benefits both parties.

Every game you listed off is either really demanding or poorly optimized. Poorly optimized being the Ubi games, Dying Light, Quantum Break, and Batman and demanding being F4, DA:I (kinda both), MGSV (kinda both), and Witcher, RotTR, Ryse, and SoM.

I was referring to the paperwork you have to fill out during shipping for international shipments, not the PayPal transaction itself. If you declare as gift or whatever as broken with a low value it will avoid custom fees for the buyer. rolleyes.gif

I do all my shipping and such through Paypal and mark everything as gifts to avoid any sort of fee. redface.gif Never had to do any actual paperwork when shipping things overseas before?

I don't know what games you are going to play, just giving you the full picture, and Yes you are right they are demanding or poor optimized like Ubi games but the 480 will run poor optimized games better than the 970 wich of course is not going to get any new improvement vía drivers, at least for me it does not make sense, I'm from Argentina and prices sucks so hard here so I get that a 970 is not cheap for you, it's sad that we have to deal with this problems but thats another reason for just wait for an AMD 480 that it will be better in price point, performance and future drivers updates

Ah, if you go into the post office to ship they give you a form to fill out. If you do it online, I believe the print off is just a bit different. IIRC you still declare values and what not though. It's been awhile since I've shipped international.
