If I'd like to play L4D what do you suggest?

I quit teamviewer as soon as I'm done using it and remotely turn off accessed device, I hope I'm safe. Not sure about android though, might just remove it, wasn't using it a lot on smartphone anyway.

Not bad, I think TV was faster and definitely had more features but I feel its more secure since its tied to your google account. One thing I really like about it is for your client pc's that you want to connect to you can sign into chrome, install the extension, set up remote access and then delete the account in chrome and you will still have access to the client but your account isnt sitting there signed in.

So is this only an issue when using Team Viewer with an account? Are users without a TV account, just having the app running in the background, still OK?

I'm trying to check out my machine now. I have no connections_incoming.txt. I'm running Teamviewer 10. Anyone else have that issue?

ETA: I just connected from my phone while sitting here at my computer and the connections_incoming.txt was created. I had previously logged into my teamviewer account online and deleted all active connections. Can teamviewer reach out to your PC and delete the connections_incoming.txt or should I be concerned that hacker did so? I have connected since May 27, 2016, when the connection from another town showed up. If that was indeed a hack and he deleted the file, it seems like it would have been recreated on my later connection.

Since the hacks get through 2 factor identification, and get through even after password changes my guess would be that someone found an exploit in the encryption or authentication of the service itself. So having it running would be unsafe as someone could start a session and get through any security that is set up. Also having it set to start when needed would be unsafe as that still allows for remote running of the program. Doesn't seem like the hacks actually go through an account.

Has there been any confirmed 2FA hacked? Last I read, some claimed it but not once provided proof. Even on reddit the one guy claimed it happened but never replied back proving it. And this rumor keeps getting propagated without proof.

I haven't seen one but 2FA doesn't protect your computer running with the defaults. It only protects your account. If someone guesses the user id and password that is generated they can still connect regardless of what security you have on your account.

We all heard about botnet controlled by hacker, hacker can control 10 millions IP no doubt Look at the remote control “random“ generated password, it is a 6 digitals password with a-z or 0-9 then all possible passwords are 366 with 10 millions IP on hand, do the math and it only takes 218 seconds to crack it. Let`s say it is stopped after trying 3 times which is 3 seconds and need to wait 15 minutes, as long as someone turns on the computer for around 18 hours then 100% crack.

Which is why it boggles my mind that anyone wouldn't go into their settings and force the auto generated passwords to be twice the length and include special characters. It takes like 2 seconds and significantly reduces any such issue.
