Battle.net sells the standard version for PC for 40.
It is pretty sneakily hidden tough.

No such option for consoles..

Overwatch had far more preorders, had one of the largest advertising campaigns since GTA V if not the largest, and is a Blizzard game which means it will basically sell itself. Battleborn is a $60 game with a $20 season pass on all platforms whereas Overwatch is a $40 game on PC and a flat $60 for current and future content on consoles.

I'm still not sold on Overwatch sticking around all that long, but really, Battleborn was what you came up with?

The $60 dollar version is the "origins" version with extra skins.

I like to buy the Boxed Version for all Blizzard games. If I am paying full price I want something physical.

Thanks for that, I didn't realize there was a difference between Overwatch and Origins. Just picked it up, time to see what all the fuss is about.

For $40 , I definitely think it's a bargain.

I don't understand Blizzard at all.

Right now the game I play the most is a mix of HOTS and Overwatch. Both are VERY VERY casual game. I'm not gonna lie like some HOTS die hard that'll tell you this and that... HOTS is complicated, but in the MOBA space they made it very friendly for a lot of people to get into. I'm sure a lot of you will agree.

Same can be said of Overwatch. Its a Rock Paper Scissors arena shooter that's broken down to be digestible to a casual market. I'm looking at this game and nothing about it screams "MLG!" But Blizzard just like HOTS are pushing this game hard in the competitive scene and with the release of the game already having a major tournament in Korea and other regions having smaller ones. But what about this game screams MLG/ESL Tournament game? Its super casual, lax and has short match timers. What is Blizzard really thinking here?

I honestly don't think this game will die in the next month but I'm sure we'll have a drop off six months from now, nice bump during the holiday and back to low active number spring of 2017.

As a max level in HOTs I can assure you it is not.

HOTs competitive 101:

1-) Gather your team in a single random lane, kill everyone in that lane and leave to your respective lane before the creeps get there so you don't lose any EXP.
2-) Kill creeps and waste the enemy's towers ammo.
3-) Let Cho'Gall, Ilidan, Thrall or the Vikings get a few camps
4-)Fight on the objective as a team.
5) Rinse and repeat.

Can I ask whats complicated about this? There aren't even Items for God Sake, HOTs is one of the less complicated MOBAs out there.

I agree with you in the rest though, Blizzard tries too hard to market their game for the competitive scene, then you see them make stupid decisions like using a 20Hz Tick Rate for Overwatch.

When you get into the technical lower levels of things HOTS can be pretty complicated. Its open for anyone to play but for people to be into the upper 3k and beyond MMR becomes a more complicated game.
Check out OGNGlobal on twitch or YouTube and watch MVP Black vs any team and watch how they play. Watch how they get to level ten in less than 6mins sometimes. watch their rotation and map awareness/control. Also watch them use each hero to synergy with each other. Also watch them during the draft and corner the other team.

So like I was saying HOTS is a complicated game but in the MOBA space it isn't.

Mobas are so basic they have to be complicated.

While Overwatch can be Fun, I'd be interested if they reverse their earlier decision and make the damn MMO "Overwatch: Titan"

With the success of Overwatch built on the ashes of Titan and being a huge success now, I don't think anyone would think an MMO expansion of the Overwatch universe could fail. With added persistent World Zones, etc and some story to Overwatch fans would wet themselves if Blizzard announced they were going to reverse their decision and go deep.

Personally I'm too FPS'd out at the moment, after Titanfall, TF etc... I'd buy another new MMO based on Overwatch characters in a hot second though.

I can also see how Star Wars Battlefield likely will disappear sooner than later...
