Here is a suggestion ...

1) Try and have a single post concentrate on a single component (posts #2 thru #6 are all about your 5.25" mods
These could be collapsed into one giant post with a heading '
5.25" Mods')
2) Create an Index (post #2?) that lists (and links to) the major posts by component
3) Put a index at the top of each component post showing the date and what you did / heading (attached
4) Put dates inside the major components posts for when you add a section
5) Post an update ... link to the post ... mention the date and include what you did

That way, it should be easier for people that are actively following your thread as well those catching up in the future.

Thanks for your comments! I really do appreciate them! Besides getting some excellent ideas, it lets me know people are actually reading this build log and not just passing through.

1. I've already received a complaint from someone who is stuck with a slow internet connections that it takes too long to load a post because my posts are too large due to the number of photos in them. Both that person and you make valid points but there is no way I can see to accommodate both. The mods on I've been making on individual 5.25" components are, for the most part, extensive enough I feel combining them would make for a really cumbersome post. It would also make updates harder to navigate to. For now, I feel it would be better to leave the 5.25" component posts alone (other than adding possible updates).

2. Excellent idea! I will have to consult a mod, however, to see if it is possible to have a new post inserted in front of post #1 (Plan A). If not, I'll have to work on a Plan B

3.Each update to a post already has a marker in bolded, underlined, large text and shouldn't be that difficult to scroll down to.

4. Again, I'm already doing that.

5. Other than including the date, I've already said I will do that. I'll try to remember to also add the date.

Simple solution is to put images in spoilers like I did your post above. biggrin.gif

Thanks for the suggestion! I'll try to remember to do that in future posts. It may be a while before I apply that to the existing posts.

Not only does it load a little faster, but it also shows your updates very clearly!

Thanks milady!
Thx Lady Fitz ... easier to see the updates. Re post 20 ... I've mocked up a possible lead into #20 for you ...

Finally! I started working on the 5.25" cage! You may stop applauding now. Oh, wait...that was the sound of bricks being thrown.

Initial post on 6/9/16 - Plans A & B
Update on 9/1/16 - Plan C
Update on 9/2/16 - Accuracy Test

All seriousness (?) aside, ...

I think it's just a customary here in the quite nerdy ''world'' of computers. I mean especially in the more serious modding scene. The only well known or more accurately the only well known modder I know for a fact is IT Diva and that's only because of her profile picture. But as time goes and the pc world continues to grow more females will probably join and get recognized, that's my two cents anyways. I'm also sure after this post no one will call you a he anymore, or I at least hope so. Also sorry for mistaking you (@LeviathanVI) for a man. wink.gif
Cheers,
There are a few other girls in the computer arena. I was quite surprised at how few there are proportionate to in general population. Guess it's kinda like guy and girl mechanics .. lots of girls drive, but only a few work on their cars. tongue.gif
