And now it's the same again. 1070/1080 is coming out and where is R9 490... end of the year, early next year, again full year after GP104 launch?
prior to titan, they always released first but still never got anywhere close to nvidia. 3xx series excuse is old and bs, because it was mostly rebrand. and aftermarket 290/x were alot better than reference.

Right now will have some and hopefully a good response to the GTX 1060 but nothing else i would say this does no good, on the hand they will probably compete with the 1080 TI later on. still a huge gap no 1070 competitive product until then unless they drop the price of the 390x or fury and do some thing radical i mean why not....Nvidia was forced to drop prices when the 290\x came out.

How many people will even look at AMD right now for a middle or high end card if the came out with a killer price for fury and what not, game bundle etc....it would help imho.

Clock is one of the thing that difference HBM to HBM2 with the same stack count...

Therefore the higher frequency the higher Bandwidth

True, surprised they haven't done something like this.

I like how so many people already know how the Vega GPU's are going to stack up against the GP102 GPU's when we know literally nothing about either card yet...

I don't think anyone outside of a select few even have the little brother versions of those cards yet (Polaris and GP104) to draw comparisons based on the architecture...

It will be aiming to GP100, AMD focuses in Compute and Graphics performance and it has HBM2 aswell, if GP102 exists or not that unknown

and Polaris 10 Rx 480 isnt the full GPU, perofrmance wise the Driver still would need work(unless they driver is optimized before launch)

There isnt GP100. Only P100.

Kepler 110= Tesla K40= GK110
Maxwell 200 = Tesla M40 = GM200
Pascall 100= Tesla P40/80? =GP100

all has been available as a consumer or semi professional Card

if there is GP102 and the rumours are true(GDDR5X) it would be a card with lower compute performance and it would be a cheaper card than one based on GP100 with HBM2, or Nvidia might release a revision of pascal and call it GP110 or GP200/210
