Q9400S in a G41m P28

Thread Starter
I posted awhile ago, that I couldn't manage to bypass the motherboards +500MHZ rule for over clocking. However, I see many videos on Youtube of people over clocking with the same board (same brand too). Is this a damaged board? How on earth do I bypass the +500MHZ rule? I have tried every option it seems.

If you are seeing other people bypassing it with the same model board then i would say its a bios version issue. try the latest one. if that has the lock at 500 then its a older bios update that allowed it beforehand. Try to find out the bios version of the videos you watched and try those. Might be a situation like with skylake as of late. it had base clock overclocking but then intel said no. OC bios's are out there but they are older and not as updated and such.
