Pro grade monitor recommendation

Thread Starter
What would OCN recommend for an FHD monitor with close to 100% sRGB and Adobe RGB?

Color accuracy matters most, refresh rate, accessories, connection, and G2G response time can be ignored. Must support DP and can be used in semi-pro applications.

Does the monitor in question require calibration to get the best color accuracy out of it? Will calibration using Spyder devices provide a significant boost in color accuracy?

Below 400? Can go up to 550 but hopefully not too expensive.

Size of monitor 20" or bigger.

Yes, it looks good, AHVA panel, 16:10, 1920x1200 all good for me, and yes, even better after calibration.

Edit:My bad, it's IPS, i tend to prefer VA panel types, because i hate IPS glow. does new IPS still glows ? i don't know. Also that Dell is bleeding light.

If you don't mind 27 inch, there is that : BenQ BL2710PT

I don't know for sure about the Dell, but i had a bad experience with a NEC ips monitor, google the Dell for videos and you'll see it does have light bleed issues. As for the BenQ : Standard gamut
100% sRGB, ~72% NTSC

Very hard to find a real wide gamut monitor within your budget, you would need at least 800/900 Dollars

If you want color accuracy then go IPS. VA and TN both shift at angles meaning they aren't good for color sensitive work. If you're talking watching movies or gaming then VA is fine and has great contrast.
