HWiNFO54... neat!

I just figured it was "another version" of HWMonitor... But, after five minutes using it, it's awesome! All sorts of goodies in here!

I found out that I have a million sensors on my motherboard that I didn't know about. Like "VR T1" That's my VRMs for my cpu right? And it's actually telling me how many watts my cpu is using? hmm...

I have a sorta stupid question. I'm just surprised that I have a motherboard that can read these temps/watts and display them for me. So is it accurate to assume that my CPU is using 176 watts, based on this picture? Or is it really using 190 watts?

Edit: Good news is temps are down to 74 with the CPU fan at 1800rpm. And down to 65c during the "loading phase" of a 12gig set of IBT's. (all temps read during IBT stress tests, 12gb)

Cool little piece of software.

Those figures come from the digital VRM controller and they are quite accurate. The power draw figures are usually within few percents, depending on the board build quality (component tolerances). Input is the amount of power drawn by the VRM. Output is the power drawn by the CPU itself. Output / Input = VRM Efficiency.

Awesome. Thanks for that, both of you.

I can't find any reason to ever give money to Finalwire again. Maybe there's some hidden setting I have to enable to get that to work....
