It depends on what is in the connectors of course, like I noted. If the test board uses standard connectors, it's 12V only. If not, it could be anything. It doesn't really have much in the way of implications, but it's interesting.
OEMs have on and off played with custom power connectors. For small form machine it makes sense, but when they do it for standard mid tower or server stuff it's always annoying.
