Yea yea, I know it depends, but anecdotally, trying to decide between Ubiquiti AC Lite or AC LR

I live in a 4,000 sqft house (2 floors + finished basement) that is currently serviced wifi through a relatively new Netgear rR6400. It does provide good 2.4ghz coverage but 5ghz is lacking. Also, my younger brother is in need of a router so I am using that as an excuse to give him the netgear and move to a more robust router + APs model. I am pretty set on Ubiquiti given the features, affordable pricing, and relative ease of use (I'm a developer so I am good with computers, but I am no network expert), so please no anti-ubiquiti trolling, though I am open to other systems if they are similar is pri:Dce and features.

So the question is, do I go with the AC Lite or the AC LR? Can anyone comment on average sqft coverage in a typical newer construction home? The Lite has 2 dual band entennas whereas the LR has a single "tri-polarity" one. Really I am trying to figure out if I can get away with a single LR, mounted on the main floor, or if I will need 2 LRs. Or maybe it makes more sense to go with 2 Lites or maybe 3 Lites. I'd rather buy 2 LRs over 3 Lites b/c that will save a few bucks, for example.

I'd get a single LR, a Single Lite, then play around with temporarily mounting them here and there to see what coverage you get. Then either keep them or return the one you don't want and get another of the one you like.

Yes, I guess that is really the only reasonable way. Thanks for the input!
