AOC AG271QG Thread - 1440p 144Hz GSync IPS - Page 13

Nobody with a AG271QG who can tell me this? frown.gif
I'd like to order a Gsync display today, and if the AOC got a sharpen option, this would be an advantage for me over the Acer.

I bought AOC AGON AG271QG three days ago for £580 using one day delivery. The monitor itself was amazing. There was some BLB but to me it was bearable. However, I am now on RMA because after 8hours of using, the left half of the screen got red, vertical lines that were visible only on black colours. What's funnier is that my iPhone camera couldn't see those lines so there is no picture of it.

I will have my new monitor this Wednesday/Thursday and I will post a full overview. So far I was very satisfied with my previous, faulty monitor.

Please keep us all posted! I checked Amazon UK and I can get it shipped to the U.S. for $765 which is pretty sweet. 1-4 weeks turnaround time. No idea if it will come with a non-U.S. plug (I can always buy a spare one here) but my main concern is dealing with a return + shipping back to Amazon UK. Hmm....tempting.

So... this monitor also didn't impress? frown.gif

One could suppose it's the same "crap", different name.

Before I post a full overview, I want my monitor have a decent backlight bleed, not an unbearable white screen. I'm about to RMA it for the 3rd time since my current model proves that their Quality Control is cheap.

@Barmecide: Wow. This is really unfortunate to hear yet not at all surprising. These panels are all crap. Sorry. thumbsdownsmileyanim.gif

Photos of my piece, had brightness set to 20 and there was still noticable backlight bleed in bottom right corner.

probably will try to change for different one.

Does this also appear on the AOC like the Acer and Asus?
Tried alt-tabing from games like Rise of the Tomb Raider (exclusive fullscreen), Witcher 3 (fullscreen) and War Thunder (fulscreen) more than 100× and so far didn't notice any issue like described vertical "tear".
Have an EVGA GTX 1070 FTW, latest nvidia driver (372.54), Displayport cable supplied with monitor.

Thx.
No sharpness setting in OSD menu, only overdrive setting with 5 steps.

Yep, definitely quality control issues in AOC. Took delivery of this AG271QG yesterday, think I'll be returning this for an Acer. Really disappointed, had a high opinion of AOC before this one! mellowsmiley.gif
