Yeah, vertical GPU mount would have costed too much sacrifices in terms of cooling compatibility. I feel this was the right choice and I commend In Win for that! thumb.gif

A separate vertical GPU mount adapter though would make everyone happy, don't know if that would be possible, it's just an idea.

Thank you for that. smile.gif It was something we considered, but we also were thinking about pricing. We didn't want to drive it up too much. Especially if it is a feature that not everyone will use. That said, we are actively looking for future products that might use this feature and not surrender too much.

First off, nice build. I originally planned a new all AMD with Ryzen but decided to keep my 4790k for the time being and just rebuild a Z97.

I've finally decided to go with this case, now I'm starting to try and source a z97 mobo (my current is itx so gonna part it out). I thought there was a concern with fitting full ATX mobo when using a bottom radiator.. did it give you any trouble?

I was thinking of cramming in a 420mm rad on top (screwing new mounting holes to make it work) and possibly a 360mm on bottom just because silence and why not. But mATX Z97 is harder to find second hand, so I'm debating if I should go mATX w/ a bottom 360 rad or else go ATX w/ fans and no bottom rad. After years of cramming into ITX builds, I'd rather not worry too much about crunching wires and hating myself during the build for my first large build in years.

Yeah, i can see why, it is just unfortunate that it was cut, as it was going to be the only TG case, i am aware of, with a native Vertical mount. TG and vertical GPU's seems a match made in heaven, especially when making a watercooled rig.

I agree, but the vertical GPU in the current 303 frame would have hampered the watercooling possibilities everyone applauds about it. Had they introduced the vertical GPU while also keping all that custom WC potential I would have been all for it. Maybe they will launch something like that, albeit I'm sure at a substantially higher pricetag.

Once you know your water temp, and also measure the air temp inside your case..because that's important for your top rad, you'll know where to look. Possible causes could be in no particular order (1) bad contact between GPU and block (2) high air temps for your top rad / inefficient airflow (4) trapped air in the loop (5) dirty water blocks ....

My setup is also not optimal yet... the case temperature is still higher than I like (31C at the front of the case during intensive use). That's because of hot air leaking back into the case .. which really doesn't help the top 420 rad do it's job.

Just got my sensor come in today and this is what I got
IDLE (after letting the pc temps stabilize a bit)
(Thermostat inside case put to the right of res, front side of case)
(Water sensor stop plug on 4 way splitter block after the res)
Ambient Temp:28c
Water Temp:28c
CPU Package:30c
GPU Temp:33c

Load (Prime + Heaven after about an hour and a half)
Ambient Temp:32.8
Water Temp:38c
CPU Package:66c
GPU Temp:60c

Anything look weird here to you?

Good to get some more measurement data, isn't it? People have said the delta for the GPU should be lower.. but yours is in line with mine (although mine is a 1080 vs 1070). What stands out is that you run higher (1000) rpm fans, with lower TDP components.. and while prime + valley is a more taxing load .. the water temp seems a bit high for that. I can't really judge the CPU as the 5820K is quite different from yours both thermally and in TDP.

I'll do a run this weekend with the same/similar load and fans at 1000rpm for a bit fairer comparison.
If it's doable, you could also try run to my setup with the bottom as exhaust and see what that does for you.

The one thing I do find with the 303 versus my much similar system in the Define S .. is that the ambient temperature within the case is higher. In the end where my Define S water temp would +8C over the intake temp under Doom 3, now at the air in the front of the case is already +8C and I get +12 C for the water.

Ok, this might have already been answered but where can I buy the 303 white with white interior? I saw some people painted their interior white which is a option... but I'm terrrible at painting and would rather buy it already painted. Been searching online stores and my local microcenter and have had no luck.
