[Digitimes] Intel, AMD new CPU platforms target January 2017 launch - Page 2

Intel just delays because they can they have no competion, AMD needs to compete but delays again, so intel can fine tune Kaby lake or even prepare a 6 core version if the 8 core AMD will be really good. So yeah AMD fails again.

Thats why Intel bowed out of the mobile market right? Not to mention their latest X99 refresh was a wash.

Im sure they will do fine

Title needs to be more objective - not just because op feels one company is in more trouble than the other.

Guess I can see how much longer X58 can last me wtih a GPU upgrade...

Well we are dumping brown substance onto Intel for lack of progress in other threads wink.gif

But when you look at market Intel already has great cpus on the shelves and 90%+ market share, while AMD needs to escape from their faildozer cpus as soon as possible.

No Zen until 2017.

Delayed? January 2017 is actually earlier than what I was expecting so far. Someone had too high hopes for a rushed release.

How many people did Intel Lay off again? It was quite a big number if I'm not mistaken.
