Sorry to hear that! Hope everything is well. I will continue to look forward to updates on this build! I am curious about how the MB and CPU will mesh.

It might not.. But I can't wh8 to figure that out XD Btw I know that I said that I would be streaming it live today but will have to postpone it until I fell better. This will probably be during the weekend. Will see if MSI cares about their customers or not regarding their CPU support.

First lets publish a couple of pictures

- All the parts at the single exception of the RX 480.

- Let's begin with the CORSAIR Carbide 100R ( 69 CAD )

- Now it's time for the XIGMATEK Tauro 500W 80 Plus Bronze Part Modular PSU

- Time for the SSDs Fun smile.gif : Vertex 3 120GB (2) Raid 1 & Adata 240GB Main OS Drive

- And for now that's all since I have a dommaged Socket LGA 2011 V3 :*(

Have you had a chance to test it yet? I'm worried about the stability since it's stepping 0 and most likely has problems that were fixed in later steppings. I'm contemplating getting this same chip for $118. There seem to be a lot of them out there.
I bought a board with bent pins on purpose for the cheaper price. I just used a needle to bend them back in place and it works perfectly. As long as they're just bent and not snapped off you should be good.

Nope... Untill I get a replacement motherboard, I'm calling it a day. I have no intention what so ever to put a 12 core Xeon on a deffective socket. Will w8 for RMA... still w8ting on them btw... And yes stability will be the key factor here so I will make sure to stress test my system a lot. I might go for BLK OC but I'm still not sure.

Also, if you have any good tools paid or free for testing cpu capabilities / temps let me know... I know a couples but asking people is always a better idea since many of you are doing this more frequently than I am.

Thanks
