Hoping I can get some suggestions from folks with more experience than me since this will be my very first laptop I'm purchasing. Thanks in advance for any help you guys and gals can give me.

What is your maximum budget?
$2000

What country are you in?
U.S.

What will be the uses of this laptop?
Gaming

Do you have brand loyalty or care which brands we select for you?
no as long as it is a reliable model

What screen size do you require?
no larger than 15.6 inch (the 17's are a little too big for easy portability)

What screen resolution do you require?
1080p

Are you looking to buy NEW or would refurbished/recertified/used be okay?
new

How long should the battery last? (Under optimal conditions, no movies/games/heavy internet)
I don't have a requirement for that except to say as long as possible but its a gaming machine so not holding my breath for anything great but it would be nice to get more than the typical under 2 hours of heavy gaming that seems to be the norm

What games would you like to play with your laptop? And on what settings?
all kinds and at high or ultra

What operating system do you need? (if any)
whatever comes on it as long as its windows

Is there a certain style of laptop you want? (aluminum, black, gaming, etc.)
don't care as long as it can game well

How much hard drive space do you need?
min 1 TB HD with a 128-256 GB SSD min

Do you need any special hardware? (blue ray, webcam, specialty ports, etc.)
no

Is there anything else we need to know?
I don't want anything less than a 980m in it unless its really exceptional. I know my options are not as plentiful since I don't want a 17 incher. Because of some discounts I have it needs to be available at newegg.
