Well they are saying 4K content... Not 4K games.. ıt is confusing and a bit of game of words.

I wished for 4K games but it is not really doable.

nah.

Polaris10 is enough for 4K if you play at 30fps and choose settings wisely and code directly to metal.

They could if you lower settings. If you look at Uncharted you wouldn't think it possible that the PS4 has a GPU that is only 1.8 TFLOP like a 270 or something

This.

The OP is somewhat misleading. A $2000 PC can barely run 4k. I get why consoles exist but people just need to wake up and smell the hardware.

Ya'll wrong.

You guys have a definition of 4K "running" = 4K 60fps rock solid all settings maxed out in DX11 unoptimized games.

For most people, outside PC enthusiasts websites, running at 30fps with low-mid settings at 4K is still running at 4K.

a custom 480 or better could do it in a console environment, but it's still not going to happen.

@ Zealord: it's ot going to be running games at 4K at ANY frame rate, it will simply NOT have any 4K games. also the specs aren't confirmed and i seriously doubt it's even a RX480 in there.

I grabbed an HTC Vive VR system this year. Got to say its probably the best tech innovation I've seen in the last decade or two. I don't remember ever being so impressed over a piece of tech.

Yeah, with the rumored specs, the PS4K might be able to do current PS4 games at 60 fps instead of 30fps.

I wonder if AMD has that VR-centric Simultaneous Multi-projection tech in Polaris for these new consoles.
