Would a smaller mouse move further distance on screen on the same mousepad?

As title says if you had a larger mouse (wider) and a smaller mouse, if you had them both on the same dpi/sens and pushed them from one end of the mousepad to the other; would the smaller one travel a further distance in-game because it would take longer to reach the edge and be closer to the other edge?

Sorry for an entire thread on it but I was curious and don't have the means to try it right now XD

short answer: no

If the mouse was, for example, an extra 1cm wider and both had centred sensors and you pushed it from one end of the pad to the other, making sure to line up the sides of the mouse with the edges of the pad, then yes, the 1cm narrower mouse would travel an extra 1cm.

Edit: Actually, I don't think the sensor position would matter. As long as it was positioned somewhere within the base of the mouse.

Edit 2: This sums it up

The same goes for vertical movements.

Longer mice = less available distance*
Shorter mice = more available distance*

*Provided you keep the mouse within the mousepad space

Edit 3: I think you've brought a whole new dimension to mousepad buying...

Yeah that's what I thought, so a smaller mouse on a smaller mouse pad will get slightly more movement than a large mouse

More factors!!!! 😂
