"If you direct your mining power to the right coin, you will has profit", said the guy who put an order for 50 of RX 480 mad.gif

That is really not a thing though. All of the coins you can mine with GPUs are VERY new, VERY high risk, or VERY scam. Any coin worth a second look already has ASIC hardware available. Mining is not going to be a supply disruption like it was for the 290s, nor will it have any impact on price.

Anybody that buys 50 GPUs to mine coin, and expects to turn a profit, is probably planning on doing something shady.

Well, who told you memecoin mining is not shady? It is shady, and it turns a profit considered legitimate. All there's to it.

True shops can get into trouble when selling something with wrong description, inaccurate, incomplete. It usually gets resolved, overlooked, they don't bother to fix sometimes but all in all they do state what they are selling to you and if the item you receive doesn't live up to the specs... you get it I guess, it would like oh here are Titan X specs and ship you a 980Ti instead, then go sorry we messed up the descriptions biggrin.gif IMHO it's a breach of contract and you can demand your money back or correct item be give to you.

PCTs nonNDA cards got stuck on border customs but should arrive in a couple of days now, problem is as a result they are also getting another card from AMD directly which is covered by NDA and no none from PCT can release anything until the end of NDA.

Cards are getting to shops and it's not going to be possible to keep the stuff secret under NDA so AMD might release the NDA a few days earlier because people are gonna start leaking stuff anyway.

Performance is around 390x and beats 980 slightly. There is no crazy rumor like overclocking. The normal 10-14% OC as always.
Price for 8GB is expected as leaked before, almost 300 EUR with VAT and a nice shop profit, personally from knowing the shop it should be about 37 EUR cheaper than that. So say prices may hover around 275 EUR incl. tax and shop profit.

Why the hell did they accept a sample from AMD directly and signed the NDA is beyond me, I don't know, they are stupid and could have had a review sooner.

So this thread is essentially pointless from the perspective of the original intent? offtopic.gif

Yes no review there, they have signed the NDA when the original cards got stuck at customs and they were offered different cards with NDA attached and they signed the NDA...
So no leaks to be expected.

I don't know if we should thank AMD for this nonsence about RX480 or the wannabe first-ones to review them. Why the hell do they need to release any specs before the release of the card, they just made a huge mess, and it's possible people will get dissapointed and get something else than AMD.

Last 30 days it's just "RX480 this, RX480 that..." and no valid proof of anything. As much as we know we might end up with GTX950 performance for now. Just pure rumors and a bunch of photoshop.

Wouldn't AMD make more money if the NDA lifted a week prior to launch for pre-orders to be open? I for one won't put money down till I see a review.

apparently some ppl think that publishing reviews on the same day as launch is better then releasing them earlier

go figure

Perhaps, but reviewers need time to prepare the reviews, and there are rumors AMD is still driver fixing and so forth.
