There's nothing left to do in the game. Those who wanted PVP didn't get that, they get the Dark Zone which is too much a hassle to set up a proper PVP.

Those who wanted PVE, well, there's nothing left to do.

Those who wanted gear building, already have everything they want.

On top of the hacking, well, the hell did they expect hosting files client side...duuuhhhhh

On pc people do move faster, but battlefield I would say is an exception with bf4 still having a huge player base 2 years later. A lot still play the older ones as well

It's almost as if games designed to be disposable have very mobile playerbases. The companies you mentioned design games that are meant to be played for a very long time, and they spend a lot of time updating/tweaking the game after release instead of releasing a new one 11 months later.

I enjoyed the Alpha / Beta because the technical aspect and design of this game is impressive. I could tell from the early access that it would be short lived, though. Haven't bought it yet.

I have over 200hrs in game and I stopped playing after the first major update. They dropped the ball so bad I just never went back.

From a business standpoint it sounds more like a success to me... They got millions of people to buy it and now they barely have to spend any money to maintain it. On to the next one and all the poor suckers who will pay for it. I'm really careful about what games I'll spend my money on anymore. They are just so gimmicky. Was really happy with Dark Souls 3 and Overwatch smile.gif
