Reference GTX 1070 Worth Buying?

Thread Starter
Hello, in my country 1070s are saled as reference cooling. Custom cooling of brands are not yet marketed. I want to buy 1070 in following days, so i want to ask if reference 1070 is worth buying? Will there be an issue with temperatures and noise? Or must i wait for other brands to release their custom cooling? Thanks.

The 1070 reference is a solid card, it isnt silent though by any means, it gets warm but it keeps the card in check and you can set the fan profile to run faster to keep it cooler, but you wont have a totally silent build. Its a typical reference cooler, it gets the job done but it isnt quiet in the process of doing it by any means. If you've the time to wait a board partner 1070 would do you a lot better overall but it is a wait for them to all release.

I have one, the cooler is amazing but it gets hot pretty quick, you will need to set a fan profile so it wont be totally silent

its slightly quieter than previous ref coolers

I think the FE is worth it because it comes with the epic cooler and a backplate
