By the looks of it, the Xbox One Scorpio GPU will be more powerful than the 980 Ti.

Some games looked allright for a 1.2TFLOP GPU like Ryse.

Some games might look better. I can't predict how DX12 and vulkan will shape PC gaming in 2017.

Does the GTX 980 Ti support HDR? It doesn't does it? I don't know.

6 TFLOPS is a lot for a console coming from a 1.2 TFLOP Xbox One. It's 5 times the performance of an Xbox One and 1080p -> 4K doesn't need a 5 times performance increase.

I think Xbox Scorpio sounds great smile.gif

On paper the GTX 980 Ti might be better, but the Xbox Scorpio will produce games that look better. I am certain of that

the console will have a GPU that is somewhere above the RX 480, in a console development environment direct to metal....it will at minimum play all games on par with a 980ti. The
PC equivalent of a 6TFlop Polaris GPU should match a 980ti. take away clock speeds for the console and add in direct to metal coding and you're right back there or maybe better. Not championing MS since i won't be buying it most likely but this will def beat your 980ti...especially since it's going to make full use of HDR and Async and all that stuff.

Any future titles making use of tose features will basically stand out on Vega and Polaris PC cards and console, and Volta in 2018.

You can't beat that with a PC.
Yeah will be interesting to see.

Remember how Phil Spencer said "it is going to be the MOST POWERFUL console out then" ?

he is sure that the scorpio is better than the PS4 NEO.

Yeah i guess your right. But i really want to see what PS has to offer now. I just might pick up the new Xbox 4k at a later date after release. Guess it's the right time to upgrade to 4K TV or Monitor now. So many things to upgrade now.

maybe you should wait until it comes out biggrin.gif. Who knows what will happen. Maybe Nvidia does scale great with DX12 and Vulkan and 2017 games are greatly optimized for PC.

I feel like 599$

Don't know why, but 599$ is the number that appears before my eyes when I close them and think about Xbox Scorpio

xbox one had a downclocked HD 7770 and a 1 ghz tablet cpu.

Can we stop with that "direct to the metal" nonsense? The Xbox One and PS4 routinely got beat by a 750 Ti.
