[twitch] AMD presents RX470 and RX460 - Page 22

Ah, the good old days. I remember having a TNT2 M64 and Vanta with 150% overclocks on core and memory, A Radeon 8500 128mb with 50-80% overclocks, and 9600's with 100% overclocks.

Heatsinks stuck to every chip and pots attached to the VRMs. Those were the days.

Not really - but the whole release reminds me of the HD 5770

I can't believe anyone is willing to work with this guy and his website.

English isn't his first language, so some of the intention is lost in translation. He actually meant that he'll post whatever info he's allowed to in the subreddit.

Also, I sometimes see WCCF being invited to these events. AMD's willing to work with anyone who'll give them good press and coverage for the launches. Boggles my mind how a site like Videocardz or Fudzilla is still able to get into these events, but it all works out in the end.

More like the HD 4770, IMO. Blows the doors off anything with a six-pin connector, ships with a new process and memory tech, unrivaled for about six months until NVIDIA could mount a response.

I have seen him post on Facebook many times as we share a lot of mutual friends in the industry, his English is fairly good. It is not my first language either, but when an AMD rep says "he keeps on digging" publicly (elsewhere) then you know he is not doing a good job. In his own words he replied back to AMD's warning email using strong language, which will only make the situation worse.

As you said, all sorts of random media get invited to such things on both sides and not just AMD. I hope you get to listen in though thumb.gif

I don't doubt for one second he knows what he's doing by showing it, which is why I've reported it.

I got one on launch for 80€ and i still play with it, 750/800 clocks @stock but can go up to 1080/1100 for benchmarks and 980/1000 for 24/7 usage on air. Which is close to 4870 stock level of performance.
