No news on enthusiast or high-end cards, no announcement, nothing...If they aren't ready to release them then that's fine, but they need to at least say something about their high-end stuff so people who are tired of waiting don't just jump on the 1070/1080 train.
They are fulfilling the demand for their most profitable market sectors, same as Nvidia, except that their competitors would benefit from enthusiasts, solely. Many of their chips don't cover costs without the professional division; however many of those don't prefer AMD in the first place.

460 is the only desktop P11 card. 470 and 480 are both P10.

Pretty sure they're Polaris11.

Hey, if I'm wrong it'll be the FIRST TIME in this generation of cards. Nailed the entire pascal lineup and memory types, the ti and titan specs etc. AMD changing card specs and models to play a game with nV wouldn't be too far off the money tho.

It may be that there's a Polaris9 and my info is coming from a garbled source, but the P10 cards were supposed to be all 6+bus and higher, if the RX480 is sipping 125w at the peg out of it's 200w maximum connection I'm damned inclined to believe my source is right.

What the hell are we gonna do if there's a Polaris Fury and Polaris Fury Pro??

Last year the e3 2015 pc gaming show was the same. Dodgy case with a dual fiji board, lisa sue sitting awkwardly on those uncomfortable looking couches, host with as much charisma as a paper bag, no info about anything. the 300 series was launched at a separate even on the 17th June, not the E3 gaming show.

Anyway, anyone know if they have anything else planned in the coming weeks? Maybe this is all there is

uhhh, the $199 RX480 is faster than 970.

The point is that the people that look to spend something over $300 on the market have literally nothing to buy, but to either settle with barely-an-upgrade-over-970 rx480 or add some more and make the jump to 1070. And statistics don't really lie, slightly over $300 segment have outgrown mainstream/value segment. That's what is disappointing about P10, all FUD aside.
you must be joking.

sell the GTX970 for $200, buy an RX480 4GB without any additional cost, then overclock is to get more out of it.
THAT is an upgrade worth every penny spent, or rather didn't spend anything at all.

as a matter of fact, you can side-grade from a GTX980 by selling it for $300.
not only will you get an RX480 8GB with a bit of money back, you get a card with more headroom in it (8GB VRAM, Async compatible, etc.)
