Looking for QUIET CLC

Thread Starter
Hey there!

I'm looking for quiet CLC for my future 6700K or 6800K. I want to go CLC route but I need it to be quiet and yes, I'm fully aware that it's not gonna be SILENT. I will not go for a custom loop because :

expensive
to many failure points
to much time consuming etc.

Do you have any suggestions other than Swiftech or EKWB ?

Some other options include :

-NZXT X61
-Corsair H100i V2
-Cooler Master Nepton 240M
-Lepa Exllusion 240

The case that I will use is Phanteks Enthoo Evolv ATX

corsair has a 6+ year warranty as far as i know of, and they will replace your components if the cooler where to leak and destroy your pc smile.gif

X61 is according to SPCR the quietest on the list(by a large margin).

But may I ask why not air cool? especially seeing as you want something quiet..

technically it is but it is also a 280mm, the question is just why OP is not choosing a CLC that has a 360mm rad instead since it will fit in his case?rolleyes.gif

I am not sure I follow?

Are you implying that the x61 is only the quietest due to being to having a 280mm rad?

As the x41 is also quieter than the other listed coolers, higher capacity doesn't always indicate a quieter cooler.

1. A clc has MORE failure points then a custom water cooling kit. d5/ddc/etc pumps are far, FAR more reliable then CLC pumps.

2. I have a custom loop with 12 fans and its probably way quitter then any CLC and thats with the pump at 75%.

3. CLCs are known to leak just because they are cheaply made and of poor quality materials, not saying all are but most are and they barely cool any better then air coolers as they both have the same heat dissipation of 150+w.

You will not get performance and quiet out of a CLC as they mostly have high fpi rad designs and youll need to crank up fan speeds to get even decent cooling. Try looking into a decent air cooler which will cost HALF the price, of a great AIO like switech/ekwb and cost you TWICE as much.

Good news, I wonder how well and quiet will they perform smile.gif

P.S. Why don't you enter the market of AIO CPU coolers? I bet that you would have something excellent to offer.
