[VC] RX 480 allegedly legit 3DMark scores - Page 25

Not saying AMD doesnt offer a card for a great price. No doubt about that.

I am just speaking about not offering any high end cards in general

Then they've succeeded in their goal. Don't get me wrong I'm a bit disappointed myself since I usually go for the 300-350 price points myself but this whole release cycle seems like stop gap cards before the big boys next year.

If you look at the 1080 still after launch, has anyone found or purchased a card at the $599 price point??? That's my point. Your comparison was child-like in its naivety.

Lol wut. He took the worse case scenario for the 480 and showed that it is still a good value.

$199-$239 vs $439. for 40% difference. so nice.

EDIT: The 480 is useless to me since i have a faster card already, but man you Nvidiots are pathetic. AMD was clear about the road map for like two years now, why the hell are any of you acting surprised or let down when you all knew what to expect? the site staff really needs to hand out 90 day bans to all the usual suspects popping up in every AMD thread....and derailing unrelated ones into trolling AMD.

I did the same thing basically with worst case scenario (199$ for AMD and 449$ for nvidia) and he did the best case scenario (249$ for AMD and 379$ for Nvidia).

The reality is probably somewhere in the middle.

I have no problem with your comparison. Providing half a comparison and ignoring the other half is what I have an issue with.

It only tells half the story. Don't be emotional and biased. Regardless of what the card is, the comparison should be fair and complete.

RX 480 is a lower tier than that.

Yes it did cost much less. I could buy a 970 at 320€ AT RELEASE and 299€ the Gigabyte one in the black friday. If I would able to buy a 1070 at 400€, I would buy it without doubt. Here the FE are at 499€ and the AIB ones like the MSI at 530€.

Whoa there. I used the most common rumor for the 8gb card (which was the one in the benchmark and semi confirmed by that German site) and used the entire range of pricing for the 1070. Then I praised AMD for successfully pulling a nice p/p...

Your troll radar seems a little sensitive.

Your troll radar seems a little sensitive.

You come across as a troll when you don't make a complete comparison at the different price points. 199, 239 379, and 449. You used two of those prices. There are enough trolls on OCN, pls don't be one.

This site would be worse than gamefaqs forums if not for the exception that people here know more about computers.

I feel like you are leaning more towards trolling than he was.
