Supposedly winners didn't want the items so they were sold instead and it wasn't redrawn. Which is a shame because there were people who really wanted the stuff and didn't enter just for fun.

Oh, that sucks. I thought you were joking by saying that those that won ruined it for the others by them winning and the others not.

Yeah, oversea shipping charges suck. I don't want any of these items but it is cool to see Farih doing this.

The shipping costs were extreme.

I sent my Logitech g27 across country with full insurance and tracking for under half what it was going to cost to send a usb cable.

Most delivery costs were between 7 and 16,- euro.
Those arent wierd high amounts and everyone should have known that cost like these would come with a freebie.

Even something light like a USB and optical cable still cost 13,- euro to send becuase you pay for package's upto 2000grams, doesnt matter if there only 200grams in there.
Still 13,- euro for 70,- euro on cables isnt bad in my book.

The cooler delivered for 6,95 euro apparently was to expensive to...... Did people really expect i pay delivery for them aswel ?

Shipping outside your country is always more expensive. Why did you even enter this giveaway if you either had no knowledge or no intention to pay for perfectly reasonable shipping costs?

Especially since it was mentioned in the OP where it would be shipping from and that the winner had to pay for shipping.

Its unfortunate that greedy people that have no interest in the items even enter these giveaways. Kind of ruins the attempt of people trying to do something nice for the community...

No I've asked Farih if by any chance he wasn't left with one of the items because I wanted it and know that sometimes not all giveaways are given away for some reason, unfortunately he sold it already which is of course his right to not redraw the giveaway and instead proceed to sell the items when winners do not want them.

Yeah most EU shipping is around 15 EUR, anyone who is in EU and shops in EU in EUR countries knows the expenses aren't small compared to some other countries that can ship domestic packages for 5 EUR. If one is to shop in Germany the shipping is around 11-25 EUR depending on shop/shipping/package.
The shipping IMHO was reasonable and as cheap as is possible.

Personally when I enter a giveaway say for a GPU shipped outside of EU I even take into account that I may have to pay tax etc. for it, but I guess people just don't know or bother to take shipping and customs into account.

Kind of yeah. There are almost no giveaways for EU and even with possible 20 EUR shipping for some heavy items those items were worth much more.

At least Farih gets some money back from selling the items. Thank you Farih for the giveaway even though it ended differently than planned, I hope there will be more giveaways for EU from OCN members as they are very rare.
