ASRock DDR4 Non-Z OC how (well) does it work?

Thread Starter
So I read about this feature ASRock provides on their budget LGA1151 boards, but they say it only works with certain modules. When I take a random board on their site and look at the memory QVL, some boards only list like 2 modules compatible with the OC feature, while others list loads more.
So has anyone tested this feature and if so what were the results?

From what I've heard is that ASrock went against intel rules and allowed overclock on some of their nonZ chipset motherboards, I think you can spot them by the name Hyper series.
