It being new has nothing to do with it. Did you follow this guide when making your USB stick and windows ISO.

Yes, I've used this bootable USB many times with no issues.

Go into BIOS and turn off UEFI Secure boot and enable Legacy mode under the boot options? I couldn't get a new Dell to boot off a USB until I did that.

Is CSM enabled?

It should install fine on any broadwell/haswell based cpu.

Is bootable USB turned on in bios ? That message is saying that at bootup on cd/DVD driver is present, it may be not included, and you may have to install it, but freeDos should include that automatically. The other thing that is confusing is the CD/DVD drive is a totally separate thing than booting from USB.

He has a good point about legacy vs UEFI, good thinking.

Are you using a USB 3.0 drive? If you are, Win 7 has issues with being installed from them due to not having built in drivers.

Yes Secure boot is disabled and Legacy support is enabled. Also USB boot is enabled too.... But, it is a USB 3.0 drive, I only have USB 3.0 :-\ I've used this 3.0 drive on dozens of machines over the past few years, this is the first one to have issues with it.
I don't think this would be an issue, but if you don't have the USB 3.0 drivers this could happen, but you would think that the ports and drive used would support backwards compatibility. Are all the ports USB 3.0 ?
