So they'll have a bundled registration code that comes with the game?

Edit: looks like it's a digital only thing:

When you buy an Xbox Play Anywhere digital game through the Xbox Store or the Windows Store, itโ€™s yours to play on both Xbox One and Windows 10 PC at no additional cost. To take advantage of Xbox Play Anywhere, you will need to have installed the Windows 10 Anniversary Edition update on your PC, as well as the latest update on your Xbox One console. Then, simply log into your Xbox Live/Microsoft account and your Xbox Play Anywhere games will be available to download.

I would assume, if you have your Xbox and Windows tied to the same account, it would automatically associate your ownership of the Xbox game and allow you to download it to PC. I'm not totally sure if that's the case, though.

(Edit: Responded before Eorzean edited. It's pretty much what I expected.)

Cool that they are finally doing this, however it looks like they didnt really get any top xbox exclusives onto the PC besides GoW and I guess halo wars 2 but those games definitely are past their prime.

I'm wondering if many of the "older" titles will be available for this.

On another note: I've been excited for Cuphead for a year or so now.

This is basically my summary of feelings about all of these "Xbox Play Anywhere" Announcements:

> Wakes up one morning, realizes that it is E3 week.
> Thinks to self, "maybe this is the year!"
> Waits eagerly for M$ conference.
> Sees lots of games coming to BOTH W10 and Xbox, but still not any sign of the promised land
> Watches the conference all the way until the bitter end... Still no sign.
> Gets on OCN today, sees "new list of Xbox Play Anywhere games", gets super excited.
> See's "Halo Wars: 2" while scrolling, gets super hyped for what is to come!
> Reads the list all the way to the bottom...
> No legitimate Halo game after-all...
> Immediately saddened by the lack of any true Halo game...
> Been waiting for a true Halo on PC since Halo 2 Vista.
> Goes back to waiting patiently saying... "Maybe next year..."

But seriously, Microsoft has literally given up ALL of their exclusives to PC now except Halo: 6 and the MCC. Why are we not getting Halo: 6 or the MCC? This is absurd...

Don't worry about it, I think it's kind of inevitable that future Halo games will come to PC, but it would be good to have older Halo games on PC like the games in the MCC.

PC Gamer - Halo 6 will release on Windows 10
Quote:
So why no Halo 5 on PC? Spencer says that Microsoft and 343 Industries are looking to the future. "Honestly the answer with Halo 5 is, I can go take last yearโ€™s game, rework it to go on PC, or I can have 343 look forward in what theyโ€™re going to go do," said Spencer. "You could say Iโ€™m cheating a little bit by doing a half thing with putting Forge on PC, because we kind of have the tools working on PC to see what happens, but this is what we did with Forza, with Apex. I said, 'This isnโ€™t a full Forza game. Going forward, weโ€™re going to bring our Forza games to PC complete.'"
