[Giveaway - CLOSED - WINNERS ANNOUNCED!] Nixeus REVEL Gaming Mouse with Pixart 3360 Optical Sensor - Page 42

Just wanted to share in case you missed it in the MassDrop comments,

"There will be no reviews before the end of the drop., as the reviewers have not received their units yet."
https://www.massdrop.com/buy/nixeus-revel-optical-gaming-mouse-pmw3360/talk/463582

In case anyone here was hoping for a Takasta/RocketJumpNinja/etc. review prior to their decision of joining the MassDrop (3 days left)

Why doesn't the Nixeus rep say how much button lag there is? Wouldn't be surprised if there was a lot.

They're omron switches, just as most other gaming mice. How can they have significant button lag? Most people use huanos and those have significant lag, so whats the point of speculating?

He's not talking about some physical delay from button stiffness or something. He's talking about at an electronic level; different mice have different delays pertaining to when a click is actually registered. Logitech are pretty much always the best about this, other mice seem to generally be 8-20 ms slower, some lower and higher of course. I'm too lazy to find it but there was even a graph made a while ago comparing the delays of various mice.

I imagine the Revel is probably gonna fall into the category of average since it's probably just getting the typical OEM implementation.

Honestly those kind of comments make me scratch my head. Making such an assumption without having anything to back it up. Expecting the possibly worst on everything that is not laid out ahead to a crazy level of detail. Same goes for qsxcv's "I might know something that makes people look at the 3360 in a different light but don't tell you" and that there are actually users out there jumping on that train immediately!

I could totally understand if the view remaining representatives from manufacturers stop posting in this forum altogether.

Just wait till the reviews hit and make your purchase decision thereafter.

Button lag has nothing to do with what brand switches are used. It's usually the debounce logic n delay used
