Help me With My Custom Loop!

Thread Starter
Hey guys. So, I want to do a custom loop on my PC, and im here to ask if you guys can pick out all the components neededs for this loop, which would be greatly appreciated.

My case is the NZXT s340
CPU - FX-8350
GPU - XFX R9 390

And personally id like the best looking for the value and all GLASS tubing. Post here if you have any questions. Thanks guys.

How do you expect to build a loop when you're not willing to put forth the effort to research it yourself?

I was thinking about building a loop in that case, but decided not to. That case doesn't have much radiator space. Best you could do is a 240-280 in the front, and a 120 in the back if you feel like adding an extra rad. You wouldn't see much return with that kind of radiator space for those components. All in all you'd probably be looking at about 400 minimum for the loop.

A better route may be to go swiftech H240X, and think about expanding it later if your temps are ok. All you'd need after the H240X would be a GPU block, a bit more tubing, 2 compression fittings, and some extra fluid(Whever you choose).

I have my own part lists, just seeing if someone can achieve the same for cheaper.

The H240X is actually deceiving in that it means 2x 140mm fans for 280mm radiator space. The H220X is actually 2 x 120mm or 240mm radiator space. Be sure ti measure, and ask in the proper case thread to see if people have fit them in there as i've heard that the 280mm radiator space can be quite tight in the s340.

I hate the look of that water block. But not bad for the price. All i need is to find some cheap glass tubing and some good looking fittings and then of course the GPU block and coolant which ill most likely get from EK.

If you are trying to go hard tubing, it isn't glass. Its either PETG or acrylic. I shiver thinking about a glass loop shattering. I honestly went without it as i didn't think it was worth the effort.

Probably PETG. It looks cool, but the idea of using a heat gun everytime i change a component sounds exhausting. I'd rather have more time to play games. To each their own! thumb.gif
