Oh wow biggrin.gif
The absolute cheapest one is $20, and doesn't work with all overclocked displays. Nice try.

Haven't bought from XFX in years. Where do they currently stand when compared to other OEMs?

Another poor management decision lol, way to go to extremes.

AIB cards will have DVI, the PCB has the input.

AIBs will also no doubt supply a blower cooler.

Solved?

Supposedly they stay in the 60°C with the blower cooler, i would LOVE to see what a single one will do on my setup on water where i can dissipate around 500w. CPU is probably close to 150-175, with the card at 150 thats going to be some seriously cool running gpu. Ill predict prob even stay in the 30s.

I personally like XFX, but a lot of people haven't forgiven them for the 7xxx series fiasco. Their big draw was the lifetime warranty, but AFAIK they do not offer it anymore, at least not with the 300 series. I am hoping they might reinstate it for the 400 series. If they do I will buy XFX, if not I will probably go with Sapphire or MSI.

I AM affected by it. I have two Achieva Shimian Korean IPS with only DVI connectors. That doesn't make it a mistake by AMD not to include a DVI connector. Don't like it, go buy something else (or buy adapters like I did).

Not that I actually care all that much (we'll definitely see AIB cards with DL-DVI), but a simple low end active or passive adapter will not do the job above 60Hz.

So people with 144Hz panels with just DL-DVI (like myself) will have to spend around ~$90 on a 120Hz capable DL-DVI to DP adapter.

However there is TWO replacements for DVI, HDMI and DP. So yea you can remove dvi you can't remove 3.5mm. There goes that argument, not starting a war just saying haha.

Coax normally is used on a S/pdif digital audio connection on high end sound cards and the like, unless you were talking RCA coax which has been superseded as well. In fact, 3.5mm TRRS jack works so mkuch better than RCA and does the same thing biggrin.gif
But as for 3.5mm TRS itself, there are smaller 2.5mm jacks, Apple has a proprietary jack that is a D shape instead of circular, and the TRRS is better anyway and sort of superseded TRS since it can carry a video signal as well as the two analog signals, or stereo audio out and a mic in. I know all this is pretty much mostly a technicality since it pretty much uses the exact same format, but it is a newer format version and it did supersede the standard 3.5mm TRS. Just thought Id toss that out there since so many people are arguing connectors and what you said *technically* isn't true.
