Doesn't matter cause you cant overclock the monitor through those adapters. People who have those korean DVI panel monitors use them to clock them up to 100+ Hz. No DVI means the monitor is useless.

When its 2020 and we are on the 700 series, people will still be raging that cards don't have DVI. I'm pretty sure someone will make a non-ref version with a DVI on it, they did it for the Fury and this card is aimed at a market where old DVI monitors are much more prevalent.

Ive already seen half a dozen aib 1080 cards that aren't even on threads on this site yet. Because its amd all hell breaks loose lol. Personally if this wasnt a new thread i wouldnt have seen it even though i know what the pcb already looks like from other threads this is now confirmation that the core clock is indeed above 1200mhz.

P.S. Absolutely hilarious it comes with a 6pin to molex adapter, i can't remember the last card that came with that lol.
I think I remember the 2600XT came with one.

Id be surprised if someone didnt make one with the nano cooler. At the very least, the last two x8x cards from sapphire had a micro version that was basically a nano.

I know we're supposed to stay away from reference designs, but man I want this card soooo bad. If I'm unable to get my hands on any aftermarket cooler version at launch I might just have to take the plunge drool.gif I'm most interested in the XFX model because I want to see if they'll reinstate their lifetime warranty or not.

The card is like 7.5", with a protruding cooler, but I'd like a blower. If only the cooler was a bit shorter. The Sapphire nitro 380 I'm running now just squeezed under 238mm. Aftermarket card it is, unless reviews say it's shorter since in pictures, it's shorter than an ATX board which is 9.5" wide... and unless the stated length is including the bracket edge where you screw the card down.

Need blowers for crossfire in mATX case so I'll probably go for 2 XFX cards.

Good to see it has a backplate!

Nothing wrong with reference designs on a chip with lower TDPs. Reference really only sucks on the 200+ watt cards. 100-150 watt? The blower will do just fine, unless they really cheaped out on the heatsink.

I'm hoping to get 2 reference blowers for crossfire. If sapphire doesnt make a backplate, ill get two of the XFX blowers. I love me some backplates.

I was speaking more inline with the whole card length overall, not the PCB length, which would make for a really small card with aftermarket coolers.

...but a short PCB opens up the possibility of short aftermarket cards?
