Question about going back from water to air

Just a quick question. I'm pulling my 980Ti's with waterblocks and reinstalling the air coolers in prep for selling and giving away. Is the general consensus to put new thermal pads on when replacing the air cooler, or is it fine to just reuse the ones already on the air cooler.

Edit: If this is the wrong area, sorry, please move. Seemed 50/50 on what section to put it in.

I just used the one that the coolers had on them, and the temperatures are absolutely fine thumb.gif

So you pretty much just slapped the cooler back on, screwed it down and called it a day?

Thanks! Feels dumb, all these years I've just been selling my cards with the waterblocks on them still, now I have to double check myself haha.

I usually leave the water blocks on them but mark up the price 30-50$ and then say in the ad that you can put the stock cooler back on for a cheaper price. It allows you to get a couple bucks for the water block if sold together, or you can sell the block separately and still make a few bucks on it.
