Advice on a new gaming build($1000-$1500)

Hi all, looking to build a new high-end gaming rig, looking for advice, My goal is to run everything on ultra at 144hz and be occulus compatible in the future for $1000-$1500 if that is possible. I have a 144hz monitor already and a G1 gaming 6 GB gigabyte geforce gtx 980Ti video card. I think that is still a good card and doesnt need to be upgraded, but i could be wrong, thanks in advance.

wow thats an expensive mobo, is it really worth it?
Thats actually average price for X99 mobos. Don't skimp on the most important part of your rig.

I have the MSI XPower AC and I paid $420 for it last year. And its the best motherboard I've had in 10 years as far as quality.

BTW, I'm getting the 6800k and replacing my 5820k.

ok, thank you.

The X41 is too small to be an effective CPU cooler for an X99 CPU, you would be better off with a high end air cooler like the Noctua NH-D15S instead
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIA9PV3Y62116&cm_re=NH-D15S-_-35-608-072-_-Product

The NH-D15S is a much better cooler its also cheaper its much more quiet and its more reliable as well
If you dont like Noctua colors there are other options as well.

I made these a week or so ago for others elsewhere.

I HSF is more just a decent placeholder and I cut other corners where I could for little/no detriment to get better elsewhere. It should offer some ideas.

The Cooler Master Hyper 212 Evo is bit outdated and the Cryorig H7 is newer better and only cost about $5 more
And a 750 watt PSU is way overkill for a system with a single video card in it, the new Corsair CX550 (has nothing to do with the old CX) is cheaper then the EVGA B2

Last the FE versions of the GTX 1070 is overpriced and there are versions that cost much less

Edit: never mind about the PSU.

Edit: never mind about the PSU.

The FE 1070s was just what had a price on them when I made the builds at partpicker and as I said, the HSF was just a placeholder ...though I'll keep it in mind to use the H7 in the future for a base HSF.

I'd rather have the overhead of a 750w for OCing and multi-GPU options plus the B2 is a Super Flower unit, or at least it has been ...hopefully still is. The B2 is a quality unit that is on sale often enough to make it a PSU worth considering even if you don't need 750w right now. I'd take it over a CX anything when the B2 is on a promotion.
