Issue with video format?

Thread Starter
I got a Sony PJ620 that records using AVCHD. I then decided to get my recorded movies, on some BD-R blu-ray disks. I started bruning'em without changing the format with Ashampoo bruning studio 2016.. So I assume they got burned as AVCHD format.

Everything was fine on my parents PS3. The PS3 played the disks all fine. The issue started on a PS4. The PS4 did not support the disks.

So I assume PS4 got an issue with the AVCHD format? So I need to reburn it all using a different format? If yes, what format is needed?
And what about standalone bluray devices, can they take AVCHD formats or I need to burn in perhaps a total 3rd new format?

No, you don't need to transfer the AVCHD format to another format.

I have ever used Digiber Blu-ray Burner to convert my AVCHD footage to blu-ray, works well on my PS4.

Check if your PS4 has any region code restriction.
