Its a VA, i think it skips frames at 144hz, but its fine @ 120hz. The BenQ is faster and better for competitive play, but the HKC will have image quality that blows the doors off the BenQ and still be pretty good for competitive play. My only issue with the monitor is theres really no easy way to get it imported to the US, if it was available through ebay at a fair price i would have given it a shot, but there are far too many hoops to jump through if you need it shipped internationally.

I know i would notice it that's for sure.

It uses the same panel as the eizo fg2421: http://www.tftcentral.co.uk/reviews/eizo_fg2421.htm

So it will have similar performance to that monitor.

so to compare 1ms to maybe like 4-5ms you could notice it? since i play competitive fps i dont really want this to affect my experience.

from what ive seen in that review it says the eizo monitor has 4ms? also the panel is different eizo uses Sharp LQ235D1LW03 while hkc uses LK235D3HA0S.

4ms or 1ms is just the quoted G2G time, it doesn't give an accurate representation of how a panel performs. VA panels are generally slow in certain pixel transitions so there will be more blur etc.

so usually those specs saying 1ms/2ms/4/5ms are stating its pixel transitions time/pixel response time?

how about the input lag? would tn/ips/va has different input lag too?
