Wiki > forums 99$ of the time when it comes to technical definitions.

Okay. I'm here to learn just like him. There isn't any need to be rude.

my mobo has easy oc switches, you think if i used those instead on the bios it would fix it?

133 is the default, the current RAM speed setting is DDR-3 800 You need to set it to DDR-3 1066 to get 1600 effective.
You have the base at 50% over, so the ram is also 50% over what you set it to. 1066x1.5=1600.

If you dig in your BIOS you will find this setting. For DDR3-1200 is is set to 800 or if it displays a multiplier, its x3. Change it to 1066 or x4 and you should be close to 1600 if its still stable.

Already said that wasnt my goal, you could have PM'd about it though. Instead of sidetracking a help thread.

No. The easiest thing is to just leave the ram as it is. You may or may not see a significant change going up to 1600. You may also have to set timings manually, which can be an absolute pain to do. The MB is using the timing values that would be "correct" if the RAM were running at 800 or 1066, but its actually running at 1200 or 1600.

FSB/bclk overclocking requires lots of trial and error or lots of research on how to configure ram and the like because it throws timings across the system off.

If you have the time to sit and to stress testing for a few hours, by all means attack the problem and get 1600 working. You will need CPU-z to read the memory timings of your ram, you can write these down, print them, take a picture and put them into the BIOS by hand. This should work 100%.

Ill annotate a pic of CPU-z for ya if you want to try that out.
