Gaming/Streaming build

Thread Starter
Hi everybody,
So my computer is kinda old by now, and I'm planning to build a whole new PC.
The reason for not picking a GPU in this build, is that I'm waiting to see the 1070/1080/AMD prices before I decide on that.
I also already have SSDs.
I'm gonna use it for gaming/streaming on a 1440p 60hz(might be 144hz later on) monitor.

Here is what I got so far: http://pcpartpicker.com/list/xzZpgL

What would you change? Also, do you think I should go for a 5850K instead, because of the gaming + streaming?
I want a case thats easy to install in, and I've been recommended the Define R5.

Please come with your input, thanks smile.gif

Be aware that the PSU you picked is very well known to be loud once you start to load it hard
If you want a quiet PSU even during heavy loads that Antec is not going to be quiet

Its not bad or anything just loud at high loads.

How much do you want to spend?
The EVGA SuperNova G2 550 watt is around 700 kr and you dont get much that is better.

If you are from Denmark why are you using pcpartpicker?

Pcpartpicker were just to have a simple way of showing what I've picked.
The EVGA SuperNova G2 price is a little steep, and I would probably keep it around Bronze, maybe Silver PSU.

80 plus has nothing to do with quality if you are not already aware, you can find lots of junk that is gold rated so higher 80 plus rating does not mean its better.
The new Corsair CX550 is around 500 kr if thats not too much.

If you are going to get a CX get the 550 watt and NOT the 500 watt those are much older and not all that good.

By the way, should I go for the 6700K for gaming + streaming? Or should I go for an older or something with more cores?

So I've just been Googling a bit, and I'm slightly confused now. Do you think I would even be able to feel the upgrade from a 3570K OC´ed to 4Ghz to a 6700K? Or is my money better spent on a GTX 1070, coming from a R9 290?

And as I said, I'm both streaming and gaming from the same computer.

Unless you need more cores no getting a 6700K is not going to be that big an upgrade
Get a new video card instead.
